  Abstract

  L'Orto Botanico di Roma ospita un ricco patrimonio di specie vegetali provenienti da tutto il mondo ed organizzate in diverse collezioni espositive. La realizzazione di un sistema WEB-GIS ha avuto l'obiettivo di renderlo fruibile al pubblico ed agli specialisti, ed è stato funzionale a condividere queste informazioni con il Network Nazionale della Biodiversità in modo da stimolare collaborazioni scientifiche.
  
  The Botanical Garden of Rome hosts a rich heritage of plant species from all over the world and organized in several collections. The creation of a WEB-GIS system had the aim of making it accessible to the general public and experts and was functional in sharing this information with the National Biodiversity Network in order to stimulate scientific collaborations.
